Hamburg - SC Freiburg returned into the German football Bundesliga with a 5-2 victory at TuS Koblenz on Sunday.
Freiburg have 64 points with three matches left in the second-division season and can't finish worse than second. Mainz (54) Nuremberg (53) Greuther Fuerth and Kaiserslautern (52 each) fight for the second direct entry and third place for a playoff match.
Freiburg are back in the top flight four years after being relegated, then still under long-time coach Volker Finke. They are now trained by Robin Dutt.
'We deserve it. The team, the coach and everyone involved worked hard for success,' said midfielder Ivica Banovic.
